Bee Feuless
First a WARNING. Contains many scenes of violence against children by adults, monsters, and others, and really, just a horrendous level of suffering by children, specifically orphaned children. I found many parts of this hard to watch at all and had to keep reminding myself it was just anime. It helped that all this was not wanton and without purpose, but a highly intelligent and realistic portrayal of a built world with many deep flaws that parallel or accentuate our own.That said, again, so very intelligent and as "realistic," at least emotionally, as an anime about a fantasy world can be. Very complex situations and build-ups of terror... and joy abound. I have also watched the three movies available here in the West so far, which are really just synopses of the series. I hope more becomes available here soon, as it would really suck not to be able to finish this one.
